Job Details

Position Objective: The Administrative Coordinator, Human Resources assists with human resources related duties on a professional level which includes but is not limited to: recruitment, performance management, orientation/training, and the day-to-day functions of the department. He/she reports to the Senior Director of Organizational Performance and Staff Development.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining employee personnel files to ensure legal compliance.

  • Preparing and sending new hire packets and other employee related information.

  • Coordinating new hire paperwork and new hire orientation meetings.

  • Assisting with updating the employee handbook and HR ASTHOConnect intranet page.

  • Updating job descriptions, as needed.

  • Coordinating and setting-up training classes and meetings.

  • Writing and placing employment ads, as well as maintaining the applicant tracking database.

  • Assisting with scheduling of phone screens and interviews as directed by Senior Director of HR and hiring supervisors.

  • Assisting with providing research for policies, training, and other human resource issues.

  • Assisting with posting resources on ASTHOConnect related to training and development.

  • Assisting in preparation of special events for staff.

  • Processing invoices for Human Resources.

  • Assisting with providing compliance in all areas of human resources.

  • Providing assistance with generating ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee data such as FTE counts, benefit costs, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, compensation, promotions, and others utilizing HR system.

  • Assisting with additional projects, as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree

  • 2-3 years administrative HR experience required

     


 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Flexible and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must exude poise, professionalism, and grace under pressure

  • High level of discretion with confidential information

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of other software applications
