The HR Coordinator will assist the Area Vice President, Human Resources in supporting 10 homebuilding operations in the Central area, including the Midwest, Texas and certain East markets. This role works closely with the division HR Liaisons in each division to coordinate Human Resources and Payroll related processing and administration needs.

 

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Provide administrative support to the Area VPHR to include activities related to pre-employment, new hire processing and ongoing employment.
  • Respond to phone calls, as needed and provide timely information to the Area VPHR to appropriately follow-up with division management and HR Liaisons.
  • Support each Division HR Liaison in utilizing the various Human Resources and Payroll administration systems including ADP (payroll and timekeeping) and ICIMs (recruitment and onboarding).  
  • Provide administrative assistance to process all pre-employment, new hire, onboarding and employment separation activities collaboratively with the Area VPHR, Division HR Liaisons and Corporate Payroll/HR.
  • Assist in the training and ongoing coaching of all division HR Liaisons, with respect to general HR administration.
  • Assist in the coordination of the annual performance review process, as well as ongoing performance management or compensation reviews/processing.
  • Review all division new hire paperwork for completeness and accuracy prior to the Area VPHR and payroll team’s review and approval.
  • Follow up with employees, assigned divisions and Corporate HR regarding outstanding HR or payroll administration items.
  • Assist Division HR Liaisons with review and administration of semi-monthly timekeeping processes. Assist with resolution of system discrepancies.
  • Review all pre-employment background check results. Provide accurate and timely feedback to the Area VPHR.
  • Produce HR and Payroll related reports for the Area VPHR, division HR Liaisons and Corporate HR, as needed.
  • Assist Area VPHR by booking travel arrangements and coordinating travel and expense reports.

Requirements

Candidates Will Need to Meet the Following Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must possess a strong customer service orientation for both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality by appropriately managing sensitive information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • 3-5 years’ prior administrative support experience with a preference of at least 1-2 years’ in the HR function.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school degree is required.
