Assistant Vice President of Talent Acquisition

 The professional selected for this dynamic role will lead the development and execution of Vi’s recruitment strategy.  This position defines, develops and implements a best-in-class approach to attracting, evaluating and hiring top talent.  The AVP of Talent Acquisition proactively evaluates business needs and existing practices, and executes on leading talent acquisition strategies to support the Company’s talent needs.  

Responsibilities include: 

  • Evaluates the effectiveness and refines Vi’s current and long-term talent acquisition and sourcing strategies making recommendations to the Company’s sourcing strategy and structure.
  • Develops recruiting strategies and programs based on business needs and priorities that ensure an ongoing pipeline of top talent to fill positions at all levels in the organization including strategic and executive positions.
  • Introduces innovative hiring methodologies through identifying unique and non-traditional sources for finding candidates.
  • Designs, implements and maintains the appropriate processes, tools, systems and training necessary to scale and support the recruiting function.
  • Collaborates and executes on employer brand initiatives driving focus on the candidate experience.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to understand business needs to align recruiting strategies.
  • Ensures reporting objectives are met and data is transformed into useful business intelligence.
  • Identifies and negotiates contracts with external recruiting, technology and vendors that support the pre-employment process.
  • Partnering with Vi’s HRIS Manager, evaluates, makes recommendations, and leads talent acquisition technology efforts including management of the Company’s Applicant Tracking System, Career Portal and other third party technologies supporting Vi’s talent acquisition strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants will possess 10 years progressive experience in talent acquisition technology and alternative recruitment strategies and experience in strategically sourcing candidates from a variety of sources; managing the full life cycle recruitment process.  Healthcare and/ or hospitality services industry preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related degree.  Master’s degree in HR is preferred.  SPHR, SHRM-SCP and/or AIRS certifications preferred. 

   Additional requirements include:

  • Consistent success with introducing, implementing, and sustaining key Talent Acquisition strategies and demonstrating direct, positive linkages to achievement of business strategies
  • Proven track record of driving performance and evaluating the ROI of Talent Acquisition plans
  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships and success in influencing leaders across the company at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on style to deliver practical and effective solutions
  • Well-organized and comfortable with prioritizing and managing multiple priorities and tasks
  • Experience creating and implementing projects and processes from inception to completion
  • Familiarity with the cutting edge of current talent identification and recruiting strategies
  • High levels of resourcefulness, influence, organizational savvy, execution skills (strategy through implementation)
