Position Overview
As a privately held business Michelman has established a unique culture that values people as its source of
sustainable competitive advantage. With over 400 associates around the world it is truly a global business with
aspirations of significant growth over the next few years. To support this growth strategy a major endeavor is
being launched in 2017 to fundamentally revamp the Associate Experience. Several practices will be “clean
sheeted”, including:

 

  • How individual work priorities are set to align to the corporate priorities
  • How individuals grow their capabilities so they have the knowledge, skills and experiences to be successful
  • How associates will develop and pursue their careers within the company
  • How performance will be assessed and ongoing feedback/coaching provided to every member of the

Michelman team

 

The CEO is personally sponsoring this important effort, and we have an opportunity available for an Associate Director, Associate Engagement. This position will be located in our Blue Ash, Ohio global headquarters and will report directly to a member of Michelman’s Executive Team.

 

The Associate Director, Associate Engagement position will:

  • Live our Values & Behaviors
  • Understand the current state of talent development practices across the company
  • Resource the Associate Engagement project team to assist them in successfully completing their work
  • Bring industry best practice thinking to the project to influence their thinking
  • Lead as needed the design and implementation of specific new HR practices
  • Train and coach managers in using the new HR practices
  • Partner closely with the global HR team to support them in implementing the new practices

Requirements

Position Requirements

  • BA or BS degree, advanced degree desired
  • 5+ year experience in Human Resources Management
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully designing and implementing innovative HR practices, in particular in the Talent Development arena
  • Deep, hands on expertise in process improvement and project management

Special Requirements
This position will require the ability to travel internationally to visit Michelman’s global locations from time to time.
