ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Associate Director of Candidate Experience drives a transformative approach towards talent acquisition and advises and influences senior leaders on the talent acquisition strategy. This position will help leaders to identify where their organization should invest and pipeline talent. Facilitate effective talent acquisition discussions with hiring managers and help them forecast their talent needs in line with the function and business strategy.  Create meaningful metrics to measure improvements in the experience, success, and impact on the organization. Manage specific talent initiatives and participate in other cross-functional initiatives. This position will oversee the administration of Easterseals Bay Area (ESBA) recruitment, onboarding services, and staffing plans. This position is responsible for developing and implementing best practices in new and traditional recruitment strategies, and in developing and overseeing, maintaining relevant program policies, procedures, and systems.  Additionally, this position is charged with the responsibility of demonstrating the dynamic mission and values of ESBA, and the implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve the recruitment strategies and onboarding services to achieve superior results in alignment with the organization.
 
Strategic Planning:
This management role is delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out the assigned duties of this position. This strategic position is responsible for the following: 
  • Develops and oversees a strategic plan for Full Life Cycle Recruiting and Onboarding in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Serves as a key member of the People Operations team, fostering positive collaboration to ensure recruitment objectives and timelines are aligned, and the organization is performing to meet operational objectives.
  • This management position will play a critical role in ensuring that recruitment strategies, identify, assess and engage a diverse group of highly qualified candidates through proactive networking, and fostering collaborative internal and external public and private partnerships.  Creating specific and customized approaches to attract and retain talent across the organization and its variety of departments is a critical function of this position.
  • Ensures the Recruitment team is continually trained and/or updated on regulatory compliance policies and procedures that have impact to the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Establishes collaborative internal/ external partnerships to develop and maintain pools of qualified candidates in all regional areas.
  • Progresses the utilization and ensures the management of applicants, hires and jobs in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). It is imperative that there is integration of systems and accurate and useful data that can be measured and presented upon.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains an efficient and effective process for filling open positions.
  • Partners with Director of Financial Planning & Analysis in implementing staffing plan and proactively puts systems in place for the year aligning with the budget.
  • Establishes a collaborative partnership with People & Performance personnel and respective hiring managers on recruiting planning meetings to:
    • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing hiring timeline for each open position.
    • Proactively develops a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
    • Coordinates and attends career fairs, conferences and other recruitment events.
    • Communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads gathering feedback continuously on the processes, procedures and outcomes always looking to improve and grow
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify program needs and maximize program potential through coordinated service delivery.
    • Creates and maintains contacts within industry.
    • Maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the ESBA's Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
    • Oversees and manages the references, background checks, and any other required screens for potential employees. 
    • Directs, manages and performs other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Education & Related Experience Equivalent to:
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is required.
  • Five to ten years of full life cycle recruiting experience is required; three-five years in corporate and healthcare recruiting preferred.
  • Five to ten years’ experience in strategic recruitment.
  • Minimum of five to ten years’ experience in a supervisory role is required. 
  • Experience in meeting and exceeding goals in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking databases and Applicant Flow record keeping is required.
