Associate Manager, Human Resources  

Job Summary


Provide full HR Generalist support to the Manufacturing, Research and Development HR function including recruitment, performance management, training, employee relations, compensation, and governmental compliance. Lead various HR initiatives and projects in these areas. Serve as a business partner with key managers and client groups throughout the organization. Assist with the planning and execution of the annual salary exercise process and prepare monthly HR reporting to various sources. The ideal candidate will be passionate about change management, think strategically, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Job Responsibilities:

· Assist in the development and implementation of human resources policies, processes, and programs

· Recommend and develop new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continuous improvements in department and organizational efficiencies and services provided

· Act as the liaison with management, client groups and other internal and external contacts when necessary using professional judgment in handling routine matters and information requests

· Serve as a resource to all employees in the resolution of employment-related problems and issues; escalate sensitive matters to the Manager of Human Resources as appropriate

· Gain credibility by building collaborative relationships with the business managers and associates as well as others in the HR organization

· Coach managers and associates on a variety of HR-related issues to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including the performance management process and the creation and implementation of performance improvement plans as needed

· Coach managers on communicating and implementing change within the business

· Administer the on-boarding and exit interview processes. Develop and track turnover data and other related information

· Assist Compensation and Benefits groups as needed.

· Lead and assist with HR initiatives as required.



Requirements and Skills:

*This position requires strong communication skills (written and oral).  Fluency (written and oral) in English is required; fluency (written and oral) in Spanish is considered a plus.

· Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

· A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, preferably in a global manufacturing environment

· Experience in compensation, EEO, human resource policies, procedures, practices and employment laws

· Excellent organization and time management skills; the ability to proactively establish priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines

· Must have a sense of urgency and service orientation with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness.

· Strong interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills; strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels

· Ability to coach employees and managers through various issues

· Ability to facilitate and lead employee orientation and other meetings as required

· Solid vendor management and project management skills

· Strong MS Office computer skills: Word/Excel/PowerPoint

· Experience with using HRIS/Applicant Tracking Systems

· Experience in developing technical training programs in a manufacturing environment a plus
