Job Details

Position Summary:

 The Benefits Administrator is primarily responsible for the administration of employee benefit programs to include health and welfare, voluntary and retirement plans. The role handles employee phone and email inquiries and is primarily responsible for the benefits mailbox and benefits calls. Additionally, this role coordinates and conducts new employee benefits orientation. The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of leave of absence administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare plans and 401(k)
  • In depth knowledge of leave of absence administration
  • Maintains benefit related employee records and data in benefits admin system and paper files
  • Ensure processes and administration of employee benefit transactions are handled properly
  • Handle benefits related employee phone and email inquiries. Primarily responsible for benefits mailbox and benefits calls
  • Coordinates and conducts new employee benefits orientation
  • Serves as backup monitor for HR Inbox.
  • Maintains confidential employee files, physical and electronic
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related experience in Benefits Administration
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; or equivalent experience

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • HRIS data entry experience, ADP Vantage and Kronos preferred
