General Summary:

The Benefits & Payroll Analyst will assist in the administration and analytics of RCN’s benefits programs and also assist in payroll processing as needed working with Payroll management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the 401K administration which includes but not limited to completing the bi-weekly reconciliation process, processing funding and wire requests, maintaining eligibility communications, assisting in nondiscrimination testing and annual 401K audit.       Analyze 401k data such as enrollment, loan activity, process related activities to identify opportunities for improvement and improved utilization. Conduct necessary audits related to 401k processing.
  • Maintaining relationship with 401k account liaison to address processing issues.
  • Ensures carrier feeds, payroll deductions, monthly billing, HRIS data and claims disputes are handled accurately and timely.
  • Provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans.
  • Assist with the Open Enrollment process by providing data analysis, benefit design, communications to employees, and system testing with the HRIS team.
  • Assist employees and HR Representatives with daily benefit related issues.
  • Work with Carrier, HR reps, payroll, and employees to administer the entire leave process. This includes maintaining the Benefits mailbox, track all cases, ensure proper adjustments, payments, RTW processing, Direct Bill processing, etc. This includes all leaves: STD, LTD, FMLA, Intermittent FMLA, Workers Comp, and all unpaid leaves.
  • Review the weekly claims reconciliation to ensure that the funds match the FSA system and ACH debits. Also review the FSA system to ensure that the deposits are completed on a timely basis each payroll.
  • Review and reconcile monthly premium billing. Ensure accuracy, obtain appropriate approvals, and submit documentation and funding requests to finance.
  • Assist with payroll as needed for bi-weekly payroll processing along with other payroll related activities if requested such as
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including manual check log and reconciliation of payroll adjustments
  • Assist in reviewing and auditing of all pay data entries, YTD totals and tax file amendments.
  • Assist with PTO uploads and monthly reconciliation of balances
    • Process manual payroll checks.
    • Responsible for filing wage garnishment orders and responding to all wage inquiries.
    • Responsible for maintaining REAP data report for tax department.
    • Responsible for the processing and reconciliation of the voluntary benefits such as Pet Insurance, Critical Illness, and Auto/Home Insurance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4-7 years of Benefits administration experience including specific experience with 401k plan administration and leave administration.
  • Microsoft Office including strong skills in Excel required.
  • Demonstrated experience in benefits/payroll administration through UltiPro HRIS system preferred or similar HRMS system required.
  • Experience with SharePoint preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related or equivalent work experience required.
