Job Details

Provides support in a multitude of plant Human Resources related activities. Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, handles employee relations issues, maintains affirmative action plan activities, and provides assistance to any HR projects as needed. Flexibility to cross into different shifts as needed with the majority on first shift in Greater Chicagoland/Western Suburbs. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources required, Master’s degree a plus.
  • Business or related field and 5+ years of HR experience with some experience in operations, plant or manufacturing environment.
  • PHR or SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Must be bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
  • Extensive knowledge of employment law and regulations such as Federal/state employment laws, regulations, and requirements, EEOC, FLSA, and DOL through education and/or experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office, including Excel required. Prior HRIS system experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, while contributing to team initiatives.
  • Continuous process improvement focus and effective project management skills.
  • Strong personal credibility and sense of empathy with demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with various levels in the organization. Ability to build a solid understanding of the company’s operations and functional groups to best support its objectives.
  • Demonstrated competencies including collaboration, communication (written and verbal), negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively influence others to adopt a course of action on critical, complex or sensitive information.
