Position Description


Southern Oregon ESD (SOESD) is seeking a highly qualified professional to serve as the district financial officer, to manage fiscal operations, and to support the superintendent in developing and directing the budget, while providing collaborative leadership for administrators in preparing business models for effective and efficient program operations.  The Business Manager also manages other program operations as requested by the superintendent, such as facilities and cooperative purchasing.  The successful candidate should have a sharp focus on supporting educational outcomes, while promoting organizational and program operations that are cost-competitive yet effective.  

The Business Manager should be an astute manager of both fiscal and human resources, leading a team of professionals to support payroll, accounting, facilities management, contract review, procurement, and other duties to reach agency goals.  Working with the superintendent and the administrative team, the Business Manager promotes and supports a positive culture with all staff of efficient program operations, while playing a collaborative role in the development of highly effective integrated organizational systems, including human resources, and risk management.  Experience with the Visions accounting system is preferred.

Compensation:

SOESD provides a competitive salary and benefit package.  Salary approximately $80,896 to $117,162 based on 2016/17 schedule, depending on qualifications and experience.  SOESD is an equal opportunity employer.
