Jefferson Healthcare is a DNV accredited, fully integrated health care system, with numerous accreditations and awards.  We are the primary healthcare provider for more than 25,000 residents of East Jefferson County on the Olympic Peninsula.  Jefferson Healthcare employees over 600 employees and is the largest employer in Jefferson County.  We are a critical access, public hospital district providing services to residents of east Jefferson County. It is operated as a municipal corporation with five elected commissioners who oversee the district's operations. We recently received a 90% on our employee survey on "I would work here again."

Position Description

Under general supervision, is responsible for coordinating all Hospital Benefits and Compensation.  This position is the primary contact for all Hospital benefit and compensation vendors and representatives. Processes all enrollments, employee deductions, billing and correspondence for the Hospital's  medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, tax deferred plan and work-life benefits. Surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits. Develops, recommends, and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies, and supervises administration of existing plans. This position is responsible for managing the Hospital’s compensation program in accordance with the Hospital compensation philosophy.   Participates in the development and updating of human resources policies, maintains employee records and performs a variety of special human resource research projects.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, master’s preferred
  • Five or more years of human resource generalist experience with an emphasis in compensation and benefits administration
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred
  • PHR preferred
