Horizon Global seeks a seasoned, energetic, and professional Compensation and Benefits Manager to collaborate with the HR leadership team and senior management to plan, develop, and administer a comprehensive total rewards program that attracts and retains key talent and aligns employee rewards with results that advance corporate and line of business objectives. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will oversee and manage the design, implementation, communication, administration, financial analysis/forecasts, compliance and audit of all compensation and US/Canada-based benefit programs including base salary, short- and long-term incentive plans (cash and stock/equity), executive compensation and perquisites, open enrollment, compliance and other related reward (cash/non-cash) programs and initiatives in light of market trends and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the design, delivery, and administration of benefit and compensation programs to enhance our ability to attract and retain top talent, increase employee engagement, and manage corporate costs
  • Lead annual open enrollment, merit, bonus, and long-term incentive projects
  • Champion the communication of a rewards philosophy, programs, and process throughout all levels of the organization
  • Provide hands-on administration of all compensation programs, including stock administration and reconciliation in partnership with functional partners in Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Legal as well as vendor management
  • Lead compensation and non-qualified benefits sections of the annual Proxy
  • Design and implement a new salary structure
  • Inventory and make recommendations to harmonize global and regional incentive plan targets
  • Participate in relevant surveys and manage/organize compensation data; establish job leveling criteria
  • Oversee US and Canadian health, welfare, and retirement (defined contribution) plans
  • Oversee and understand benefits and compensation compliance, including but not limited to, ACA, HIPAA, SPDs, 5500s, and Canadian filings
  • Coordinate quarterly compensation and employee benefits committee meetings
  • Oversee benefits budgeting and modeling
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Oversee compensation and benefits analyst/administration staff and work closely with payroll and HRIS staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or at least 7+ years in Compensation, Benefits, or related field
  • Executive compensation and benefits experience desired
  • Advanced user with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
  • Must be detail oriented with a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be trustworthy with highly confidential information; calm under pressure and meets deadlines
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Some travel will be required (up to 10%).
