Job Details

The Compensation & Benefits Manager (USA & Caribbean) is responsible for developing and delivering the compensation and benefits strategy for Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Holidays employees based in the USA & Caribbean. Other responsibilities will include salary benchmarks and role evaluation, delivery of bonus processes, and management of benefits and insurance plans (401k, pension, workers comp, etc.). The role will also entail some HR administration and new hire orientation work.

Day to day:
The key responsibilities for the role are as follows;

  • Compensation Design & Delivery: Maintain and update salary benchmark data, and run annual pay and bonus review processes. Also, provide compensation advice and guidance to all line managers.
  • Company Insurance/Benefit programs / 401K & Pensions: Manage annual renewal and enrollment processes while taking care of group enrollments/change requests. Provide training on all information in regards to benefits/insurance/401k, and manage/design benefits plan as well as 401k plan.
  • HRIS oracle database: Manage and maintain all records in regards to insurance, salary reporting, and all personnel files. Also, perform quarterly audits to ensure validity of records.
  • Leave Management: Manage all aspects of leave of absence such as Short Term Disability, Family Medical Leave, and Workers Compensation. Role will also be responsible for all administrative work that goes with it.

Requirements

About you:
The ideal candidate will have a College Degree in Human Resource or equivalent work experience, along with 5 + year’s experience (preferably in compensation and benefits). Experience of working within matrix organization is key, as well as strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Other characteristics for the perfect candidate include strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) as well as the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Someone with a service/client minded approach, as well as highly organized with an ability to handle multiple projects at once (Detail Oriented!).
