The Opportunity

Compensation Manager


  • Manage development of and maintain global compensation and job evaluation programs.
  • Provide strategic support to managers and employees.
  • Develop compensation strategies and processes.
  • Lead meetings to resolve issues. Provide objective feedback, make recommendations on issues as appropriate for both individual employee and managers.
  • Provide leadership to create a productive, creative and harmonious work environment that reflects and advances SEL culture, values and objectives.
  • Act as a liaison to other human resources functions when necessary.
  • Supervise and mentor other staff as needed.
  • Define and follow area processes.
  • Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Understand, create, simplify processes.



  • B.A or B.S. degree in Human Resources or related Business field
  • Ten years of related experience
  • Solid knowledge of applicable federal state regulations
  • Excellent listening, facilitating, negotiating and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, project management, and program development skills
  • Ability to work independently, accepting ownership for assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to identify organizational needs and deliver solutions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with international compensation
