Job Details

The Compensation Manager manages the daily operations of compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with institutional goals and strategies. Manages and executes all compensation programs, policies and procedures. Develops, implements and maintains the compensation structure including the management of the job evaluation process, off-cycle salary increases, the merit process and annual incentive programs.  Responsibilities include:

  • Oversees compensation programs, including the job evaluation process, market pricing, salary surveys and variable pay program design and implementation. Leads the design and implementation of frameworks and tools as well as the annual review of market competitiveness of pay structures to increase the effectiveness of compensation programs.
  • Advises department leadership on resolutions for specific needs relating to salaries, job classifications, job content and/or benefit program issues. Supports HR Business Partners and other key stakeholders in understanding the institution’s compensation and benefits programs to ensure that programs are transparent and clearly understood.

  • Monitors competitive trends and best practices in compensation and analyzes workforce and institutional needs for programs and structures.

  • Leads various compensation projects which includes developing and implementing creative solutions and/or recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in compensation program design and delivery.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
