Contract HR Business Partner

Axiom is looking for a contract HR Business Partner to join the team for 3-6 months (with the possibility to convert to full-time). As an HR Business Partner at Axiom you will be a key player in people development across the company. You will work closely with people managers and team members to support North America Sales teams as well as US Product, IT and Finance teams.

Having a talented and agile Business Partner who understands how to navigate the complexity of a fast growth and ever changing environment will be crucial for success. This trusted advisor should be someone who cares a lot about culture and the people that form it; they will ensure we are maintaining and improving the elements that make Axiom special by fostering an environment that upholds our values of Committed, Fresh, Irresistible and Thoughtful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach team members and people managers in their development, career pathing and ability to navigate and resolve tricky challenges.
  • Make the leaders you support even stronger, by providing guidance, cross-functional perspectives and 360 degree feedback.
  • Provide day-to-day business partner support, in support of key talent processes and needs:
    • talent reviews, retention planning
    • development planning and performance management
    • employee relations
    • onboarding, exit interviews and mobility
    • compensation changes

Past Experience

  • People whisperer and coach. You naturally build strong relationships at all levels. You are a sought after coach and thought partner for all employees
  • Earn trust quickly. You are honest, credible and a great listener
  • Good instincts on people, with exceptional EQ. You consistently choose the best course of action, considering all impacts on people across the org. More importantly, you have impeccable judgment around escalating issues and asking for help
  • Business savvy. You quickly develop deep understanding of business goals, strategy and structure
  • Honest, direct and collaborative in all communication
  • Outside of the box thinker and problem solver
  • You are a self-starter with a creative mind and track record of putting ideas into practice
  • You have a history of cross-functional collaboration
  • You have 4+ years of applicable experience leading and working with teams and people
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred

As a member of an ISO Compliant center, the hired candidate will be required to follow the policies and procedures on Information Security Management System in place at the Chicago Center and globally at Axiom. As a member of the Axiom team, the applicant will have access to various company and client assets and will be required to maintain the level of security as identified for each asset.
