The Corporate Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the services and operations of the Human Resources Department including Employee Relationship Management, Staffing & Recruiting, Performance Management, Compliance, Compensation & Benefits Administration, HRIS and Budget areas of responsibility. This position leads a team of HR professionals in Westlake Village and Honolulu, Hawaii and provides HR partnership to over 400 employees.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of directly applicable HR experience, minimum 5 years’ experience leading and managing an HR team.

     

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of Federal, California and all applicable state employment laws including wage and hour, FLSA, EEOC, FMLA/CFRA and ADA.

     

  • Broad experience in recruiting, staffing, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee relations and records management.

     

  • High level of competency in conducting internal investigations, unemployment hearings and crafting responses to EEOC and DOL complaints.

     

  • Extensive experience with annual benefits programs for health, dental, vision, life, disability and working closely with parent company annually.

     

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively and confidentially with all levels of employees, serves as mentor.

     

  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of organizational and cultural transformation processes, staff development and training.

     

  • Manages all Worker’s Compensation programs and administers the 401(k) Plan.

     

  • Ability to work effectively in diverse workforce including virtual staff, employees in Hawaii, San Diego and Europe.

     

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
