The NYCT Department of EEO & Diversity is seeking a Director of Compliance to join a growing team that promotes a work environment where every employee is accorded respect, fairness and an opportunity to develop and to succeed.  This key role will report to and support the Assistant Vice President, EEO & Title VI Compliance, and have responsibility for insuring that NYCT’s EEO Compliance Program meets federal, state and internal MTA mandates.  In addition, the Director, EEO Compliance will assist the Department of EEO & Diversity with initiatives and programs that are designed to achieve a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace.

The incumbent in this position will conduct accurate and time-sensitive, statistical and quantitative data analyses on NYCT’s employment practices, including, but not limited to, workforce utilization, hires, promotions, compensation and disciplinary actions.  The Director will also serve as the Department’s technical liaison to NYCT’s Human Resources Division, MTA Information & Technology, MTA Business Service Center, the MTA Board Material Liaison and other NYCT departments/divisions.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in information technology, computer science, human resources management, Legal studies, or a closely related field and five (5) years of full-time experience in the area of affirmative action planning and performing statistical analyses/data analytics, in which three (3) years must have been served in a managerial/ supervisory or an administrative capacity.

Desired Skills

  • Proven experience in the development, maintenance and management of Affirmative Action Plans,
  • Demonstrated understanding of Federal, State and Local employment laws and regulations, in particular, the Federal Transit Administration’s (FTA) EEO and
    Title VI Circulars,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook),
  • Proven ability to create and develop strategic PowerPoint presentations,
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in training and providing assistance on EEO and Affirmative Action-related matters.
