Primary Responsibilities:

The Corporate Human Resources department has an immediate opportunity for a Strategic HR Business Partner to join a talented and high performing HR team at the Director level. This position is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Naperville, Illinois. The primary responsibility of the Director Human Resources, Corporate is to serve as the Corporate HR leader and business partner. 
We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can drive change and business results through the use of strong influencing skills and deep Human Resources expertise. Specific experience with talent acquisition, organizational design, employee relations, employee engagement and leadership development are a must. The successful candidate will understand the necessity and value of building and maintaining effective working relationships with their leadership partners and the HR Centers of Excellence to drive organizational change and achieve sustained team effectiveness and business success. Accountabilities are accomplished through working collaboratively with corporate leaders and the Human Resources centers of excellence team to foster an environment consistent with KeHE’s culture, Mission and Values.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and lead strong corporate HR Management team; including Corporate office, Corporate Talent Acquisition and offsite corporate offices.
  • Support the Talent Acquisition strategy that is connected to the business strategy and growth.
  • Change Management leadership; emphasis on progress, simplicity and customer-centric response.
  • Partner with the corporate centers of excellence in Compensation, HRIS, Talent Management, Payroll and Benefits.
  • Oversee addressing employee relations issues end to end keeping our culture and people top of mind.
  • Coaches and provides feedback to employees and leaders in accordance with company philosophies and core values.
  • Adapt HR strategies into actionable initiatives that address corporate functions needs.
  • Provide courageous people perspective on business issues, even when unpopular.
  • Contribute to a strong and unified HR Leadership team to create and drive synergies.
  • Serve as a collaborative resource for business partners supported by keeping abreast of industry trends and issues.
  • Responsible for compliance and auditing of all corporate related policies and procedures, in accordance with federal and state laws.
  • Ability to recognize, diagnose and recommend solutions to highly complex business, people and organizational issues.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years HR Generalist experience, preferably 3- 5 of the years as an HR Manager leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Corporate human resources experience preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification from either HRCI or SHRM preferred.

  • Customer focused and success leader with a high level of credibility and collaboration.
  • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effective resolve emotional and complex problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Capability of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints.
  • Able to work effectively with peers, region and corporate leadership, and the sales force in a productive collaborative environment coupled with the ability to be decisive is needed.
  • Ability to travel quarterly to offsite corporate offices or employee events to achieve and support business objectives.
