Job Details

The Director will partner with designated business leaders, supporting them to achieve their goals, and will serve as the main HR point of contact for all employees in those business units.  Areas of HR practice include organizational design, talent acquisition and development, annual compensation, and employee relations.  The HR Director is a leading role in the department, reporting to the EVP, Chief Talent Officer and joins a team of HR professionals which includes generalists, a compensation and benefits professional, and a compliance expert; the Director will leverage the team’s talents and share his/her own.  The role provides the opportunity for human connection at all levels of a dynamic organization and the satisfaction of having real impact on results.


Specific role responsibilities include --

  • Partner with business leaders across various functions including finance, leasing, property management and legal to build environments that are highly productive, supportive and engaging
  • Advise and counsel managers and supervisors across the full spectrum of HR practices
  • Recruit for top talent from job specification development to new employee’s first day and post-hire check ins
  • Provide employees with guidance and support relative to all aspects of their employment including training and development
  • Manage talent review and assist in managers’ resultant feedback sessions, plus manage annual compensation process including salary, bonus and long term incentive
  • Respectfully seek to understand employment issues and develop effective resolutions   


The ideal candidate --

  • Approximately ten to fifteen years’ experience as a combined HR generalist/business person
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferable concentration in English, communications or business
  • Team player who takes pride in ownership and seeks opportunity for continual personal/professional growth
  • Natural leader with demonstrated high level communication skills; effective manager and strong work ethic
  • Ability to engage and interact across all levels of an organization
  • Solid time management with ability to prioritize and successfully balance multiple tasks and requests
  • Attention to detail including analytics
