What we are looking for -

The Director of Learning and Development will work with the Executive Team to evolve the organization’s learning philosophy and strategy, as well as design and deliver training and development programs across all Aspiriant business units.  A key focus of this role is establishing ongoing and scalable programs resulting in consistency of client service protocols and standards (ONE Aspiriant).  Additionally, the position partners with the Human Resources group to ensure effective strategies and programs throughout the talent life cycle.

 Successful candidates will have the education and experience to bring a high level of integrity and intellect to the role, as well as professional and personal flexibility, combined with strong analytical and strategic problem solving skills. They will have the ability to collaborate with a highly varied leadership team, be results-oriented, driven, focused and able to balance multiple priorities and issues.

You will –  

Learning & Development Platform

  • Assess training needs and manage a catalog of offerings including executive leadership development and assessments, individual performance coaching and team building, consulting and professional skills.
  • Institute programs that teach and enable managers to effectively hold their teams accountable for “the Aspiriant way” and to execute on that consistently.
  • Audit existing training offerings and refresh, design and deliver skills-based and leadership-based programs across all teams and locations.
  • Co-develop an institutionalized on-boarding process for integrating inorganic growth [merger] partners.  
  • Set up mechanisms to measure ROI on training, and provide periodic reporting to company leadership. 
  • Recommend technology-based learning platform(s) covering the full spectrum of adult development (skills, technology, relationships, change management, project management, leadership, etc.), as well as possess proficiency in modern learning strategies: mobile learning, micro learning, social learning, blended learning, gamification and learning management systems.
  • Play a key role in content development, thought leadership, and best practices for our periodic firm-wide meetings (e.g., Achieve 2018) and initiatives.
  • Effectively contribute to our employee development experience inside a high growth company enabling the ongoing evolution of company leadership and the overall organization.

Leadership Coaching

  • Develop trusting partnerships with key leaders across all business functions to enable optimized learning outcomes that drive personal and professional development and business performance.  
  • Act as trusted advisor providing coaching and counsel to managers and employees across a wide and deep array of people and organizational tensions.

Requirements

We are looking for -

  • At least 10 years of experience in
  • Advanced facilitation skills to lead engaging and interactive learning sessions. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, willing to experiment with new learning       approaches and technologies. 
  • Knowledgeable about human resources and related HR disciplines, including performance management, recruiting, and talent on-boarding.
  • Experience working with multiple employee populations in multiple locations, including executive teams, required.  Moderate amount of travel expected.
  • Hands-on implementation of a leadership development strategy.
  • Experience with a start-up or acquisition oriented company a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communications, creative problem solver with the ability to prioritize, create actionable plans, manage and deliver tangible results, and process improvement. 
  • Strong coaching and consulting skills with a track record of quickly gaining credibility and partnering collaboratively with business leaders. 
  • Ability to interface and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with other senior leaders to assess organizational needs and training solutions.
  • Team player that thrives in fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred advanced education in adult development and/or industrial / organizational psychology or related practice.
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a coaching program accredited by the International Coaching Federation.  MA/MS degree in Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development, or other HR, business management or industry related designations.
