8x8’s Global HR Organization is looking for a new team member who is excited about the opportunity to take our total rewards offerings to the next level!

Our new Director of Total Rewards will develop, implement, and maintain compensation, benefit and total rewards philosophies, programs, policies, plan designs, and practices across all roles and in all countries.

This role provides expert advice and support on matters including internal and external compensation and benefits competitiveness, program design, program effectiveness, and overall governance.  This role collaborates with cross-functional business partners and executives to align and achieve business strategies, and attraction and retention objectives.

This is an exciting role as the Director will design 8x8’s new compensation philosophy, job family structure, and compensation structure. The next iteration of benefits is underway and this person will provide leadership in this area as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, global compensation philosophy and strategy
  • Develop job family, and compensation structure
  • Develop, roll out, and manage global compensation programs including competitive benchmarking analysis, base pay, incentive compensation, sales incentive, equity and executive compensation programs
  • Works with the Legal and Finance team as well as the Board’s Compensation Consultant to analyze, design, update, communicate and disclose executive compensation plans
  • Develop global executive compensation programs including new hires or promotions, equity program design and administration, regulatory and disclosure materials, and presentations for the Compensation Committee of the Board
  • Partner with Sales Operations to determine appropriate sales compensation model
  • Conduct salary, bonus, and FLSA exemption analysis
  • Designs and drives 8x8’s total rewards philosophy and principles including the management of benefits and perks programs, including, health, wellness and retirement plans
  • Create solutions that address more employee needs with more and different benefit offerings
  • Engage local HR teams from around the globe to create a total rewards strategy and improve our employee offerings to best in class
  • Successfully engage, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external vendors/brokers
  • Participates in negotiation of agreements with insurance carriers and financial institutions for administration of benefits programs
  • Provide comprehensive financial review, analysis, and evaluation of short-term incentive programs, including designing and developing pay-for-performance alignment and projected cost of program designs
  • Articulate analysis, and present ideas in a clear and concise manner to senior executives and the Board of Directors
  • Partner with internal and external resources to ensure that all projects, programs, plan documentation and communications meet applicable guidelines

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience with compensation and total rewards strategy, program design programs, processes and tools
  • Experience building complete job family structures from the ground up
  • Experience influencing executive leadership on compensation structure methodology and philosophy
  • Experience in FLSA exemption analysis categorization and model
  • Ability to design and management of incentive plans
  • Understanding of call centers, tech support, and manufacturing compensation and family structure models
  • Comprehend holistic view of compensation structure in order to make solid, independent decisions with confidence
  • Experience in global benefits and creating plans to create consistent employee offerings around the globe
  • Knowledge of all compliance and reporting requirements relating to compensation and benefits
  • Analytical, collaborative, problem solving, written, and oral communication skills
  • Rapid growth tech company
  • BS degree
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Preferred
