The Director Human Resources, IT is responsible for leading and directing all aspects of Human Resources support for the IT corporate group within XPO.  Direct or participative support in the areas of Employee relations, Talent Management & Recruiting, Labor Relations, Training/Education & Development, Wellness, Compliance, Benefits, Compensation and Performance Management, HRIS, Office Services, Legal and Governmental compliance, and Budget areas of responsibility.

  • Builds a world class HR team of professionals that possess state of the art professional knowledge, understand the business issues and opportunities facing the business, and remain focused on the internal customer. 
    • Supports the HR team in the creating and implementation of initiatives in all HR areas of discipline. Including; talent, recruiting and selection, benefits, compensation, wellness, training, performance management and reward systems, and employee relations that align with the business strategies.
    • Creates, develops, implements, and evaluates all Human Resource programs and supporting systems to insure an integrated approach to all Human Resource systems, practices, policies, and procedures.
    • Collaborates with HR teammates to implement consistent and thorough on-boarding and orientation of all employees. Actively engage new employees and insure a lasting understanding of the culture, ethics, and expectations.
  • Considered a business partner, an employee sponsor or advocate and a mentor. Fosters effective methods of communication and empowerment.  Builds employee ownership of the organization. 
    • Partners with the business and Compensation in the design and delivery of various variable compensation and commission programs for lines of business supported.
    • Provides input to the Talent team in developing strategic workforce plans, and the recruitment and retention strategies to meet the needs of the business. Provide support in selection activities for all hourly and salaried positions, and participate in the development and implementation of valid selection tools.
    • Partners with Training in the identification and execution of various training initiatives that support the growth and objectives of the business.
    • Designs and develops effective succession planning process to ensure management and professional readiness to meet the growth plans of the business. Assure adequate cross-training for division coverage and employee development.
  • Enforces a performance driven culture through the development and implementation of consistent Performance Management coaching and counseling techniques across all regions. 
    • Consults with and mentors managers on employee relations issues. Assures that appropriate corrective actions are consistently administered. Participates in or counsels employees when necessary. Provides leadership for all employee relations to assess, investigate, mediate and correct issues.
    • Assures availability of adequate training and development opportunities and funding for staff.
  • Partners with HR team and leaders to continually evaluate Human Resources policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participates in revision and development of new policies and procedures as needed. Assures consistent application and adherence to standards of conduct and performance. 






  • Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, HR or other related field
  • Minimum Required Experience: Requires 7-10 years of HR experience
  • Desirable Education/Experience: 10 + years of HR experience and 3-5 years of experience supporting IT groups
  • SPHR or PHR
