The City of Reno, Nevada offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Director of Human Resources who will enjoy a professional challenge and an unbeatable quality of life. Reno is a vibrant university town known for outdoor activities, special events, arts and culture, and innovative industries. Overseeing a staff of eight employees and an annual budget of $39.6 million, the Director of Human Resources manages the full range of human resources programs and services for the City including design of work positions, hiring, reward and recognition, safety, compensation philosophy, performance development, career and succession planning, and employee development philosophy. 

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in personnel administration, public administration, business administration, or a related field; and ten years of increasingly responsible human resources experience, including three years of management and administrative responsibility. Experience in public sector human resources and collective bargaining are highly desired. 

The salary range is $126,541 – $165,770 and the successful candidate will receive an excellent executive benefit package.
