Raphael & Associates (www.raphaelandassociates.com) is searching for a Director of Human Resources to build and run the human resources function at this rapidly growing Third-Party Claims Administrator and Independent Insurance Adjusting firm.  

Raphael & Associates is a TPA and claims adjusting company internationally recognized for its exceptional service and unsurpassed reputation for nationwide claims handling.  Headquartered in Rutherford, NJ, the company employs approximately 150 people at the main office and numerous branch offices in 10 additional states. 

The company has experienced rapid growth and is now looking to create a dedicated human resources function.  In this role, you will report directly to the President and work closely with the senior leadership team to handle all aspects of recruiting, onboarding/training, ongoing employee relations, administer and oversee outside vendors for health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, payroll, etc.

This role requires excellent organization, communication, problem solving and project management skills, attention to detail and an ability to balance strategic thinking with a “hands-on, get it done” attitude.  You must have a bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 5 years of experience in a generalist human resources capacity, ideally within a small or mid-sized business.  Additional certifications such as SHRM or HRCI as well as insurance or financial services industry experience would be a plus.
