The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a key member of the Leadership Team delivering high level human resources services to create a world-class organization and to help meet the strategic business goals of the Company. This includes the implementation and the coordination of processes, policies, and programs regarding organization development, on-boarding, talent acquisition, talent development, retention, training and development, employee benefit strategy, legal and ethical compliance, employee relations and payroll.


  • Acts as HR Business Partner for Leadership by providing guidance and counsel on variety of issues that include but not limited to – employee relations, contract negotiations, conflict resolution, interpersonal communications, policies and procedures, and country, federal, state, and local law.

  • Develop, manage, and implement, performance management strategies, policies, procedures and transactions with the goal to attract, engage and retain a highly qualified and talented work force for the apartment industry.

  • Develops recruiting strategies such as staffing programs to identify internal and external talent for all levels within the Company.

  • Responsible for consistent administration of employee benefit programs to include all welfare plan compliance and complete 401k administration, compliance and annual audit.

  • Ensures the Company is in compliance with country, federal, state, and local laws with policies and procedures. Monitors legal compliance, develops policies and procedures, and makes recommendations on policies and procedures.

  • Assesses the competitiveness of Company’s programs and practices against similar companies, markets, and industries to ensure the Company continues to attract and retain world class talent.

  • Leads and evaluates the Human Resources Department for continual improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of the group.

  • Provide a strong HR presence for the company, developing and maintaining open and productive communication with all employees.

  • Align safety strategies with workers compensation policies. Ensure a safe environment by reducing risk and promoting safety programs.

  • Some travel required


Comprehensive understanding of vast realm of all Human Resources functions including talent acquisition, talent management, personnel development, employee relations, compensation, benefits and workers compensation.

Knowledge of applicable employment laws and labor codes

Extensive working knowledge of welfare and retirement plans including 5500 filings, audits, contract agreements and compliance issues.

Knowledge of payroll processing, preferably ADP experience

Ability to interact/collaborate with all levels of management

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills



Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from an accredited college/university


Requires a minimum of 7 years HR experience, including at least 4 years in HR management and overseeing payroll processing


Preferred PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP

Valid driver’s license and good driving record
