Reynolds Lake Oconee, located between Atlanta and Augusta, is a 10,000+-acre golf and lake community with more than 90 miles of shoreline on Lake Oconee.  Reynolds Lake Oconee features 117 holes of championship golf, award-winning dining, swimming pools, tennis courts, pedestrian trails, four full-service marinas and the 38,000-square foot Lake Club and tennis center.    

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Position will provide leadership and development to the entire team at Reynolds Lake Oconee to promote an environment of service excellence.   Will have overall responsibility for facilitating, coordinating, and supporting learning programs to include Service Excellence 365, New Hire Employee Orientation, Management Orientation, and departmental specific skills and knowledge.  In addition to facilitating existing curriculum, the position will create new and innovative learning curriculum.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for facilitating a one-day new hire orientation class.  Responsible for overall administration of new hire orientation to include but not limited to preparing binders/folders, blocking space, coordinating meeting set-up, agenda, and PowerPoint presentations.  Work in conjunction with other HR team members.
  • Develop and deliver Manager New Hire Orientation in conjunction with other HR team members.  Support managers on training company standards and processes. 
  • Attend and participate in departmental line-ups supporting the Service Standards, Vision, Core Value and Credo.  Role-play in the meetings and audit behaviors of employees and managers regarding our standards.  Provide feedback to senior leadership.
  • Develop a variety of professional development solutions for all areas specifically targeting the customer service, communication, and leadership competencies.
  • Develop and maintain technical training solutions and resources.
  • Provide professional development and coaching with managers, assistant managers, and supervisors on a regular basis.
  • Attend and evaluate departmental training events.
  • Analyze training requests and determine the best approach and solutions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a training database of metrics on all professional development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with department managers to develop position certifications based on skill sets.
  • Identify professional development opportunities; research, recommend, and implement solutions.
  • Responsible for vendor selection, negotiation, and procurement for a variety of professional development initiatives.
  • Coordinate all activities pertaining to training functions.
  • Establish and manage an effective onboarding program for new hires.
  • Conduct post session training evaluations
  • Employ creative training methods to provide an environment where participants are adequately engaged in learning
  • Oversee and drive the Service Excellence Training


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Desire a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum 10 years experience in a training position and Human Resources position.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership skills required to indirectly manage across functional teams
  • Extensive experience delivering training preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Must have knowledge of employee relations and basic principles and practices of adult learning.
  • Must have demonstrated success in training, communication, group dynamics, leading and coaching.
  • Organizational skills will include excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
