Basic Purpose:
The Director, Organizational Effectiveness will work collaboratively with the business and HR business partners to develop a suite of solutions to enable individual, team, and business/functional/regional effectiveness resulting in immediate improvements designed for the long-term. Using a holistic and systems-thinking approach, they will lead initiatives resulting in the highest impact and value to the business. This may include organization strategy and structural design, enabling high-performance leadership teams, increasing employee engagement and optimization of Quest’s culture, and developing an integrated approach to deliver change support across functions and strategic initiatives.  This individual will also lead enterprise-wide strategic projects along with provide consultations to/interventions with the senior management team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of all Organizational Effectiveness programs, processes, approaches and services to address regional talent/leadership needs.
• Work alongside HR business partners to thoroughly diagnose business/function talent needs; partner on sourcing, either internally or with preferred external vendors.
• Partner with HR business partners on the creation and delivery of a learning and development agenda to meet current and future business requirements.
• Lead projects, in partnership with HR business partners, relating to various talent management initiatives such as organizational design, talent development, team effectiveness and onboarding key promotions or new hires.
• Monitor and report effectiveness of programs through the development of evaluative processes to show improvement of individual, team and business/function performance.
• Partner with HR business partners, regional leaders and external vendors to develop learning content and shape that content into a focused curriculum tailored to various audiences within the client organizations.
• Partner with Exec Director, OE & appropriate HRLT members on enterprise wide initiatives and solutions (design, execution & evaluation).
• Work with the SMT (individually and collectively) on OE related programs and projects, and in partnership with members of the HRLT develop approaches that drive successful implementation.
• Partner with Exec Director, OE in providing direction and execution on the development of the talent and capability within the OE team – drive the internal consulting model
• Provide guidance and partnership to the Sr. Director, Talent Management & Leadership Development and HRLT business partners on identifying and brokering of talent solutions.
• Deliver LQA program for balance of 2016 & plan for 2017

This position does not have direct reports  

Requirements

Education Preferred: • Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree (MBA, Master’s in Organizational Development, Master’s in HR or related field) preferred.

 
Work Experience:
• 12-15 years of progressive organizational effectiveness experience in a COE or HR Business Partner role.
• 10 years of experience leading business/functional/organizational diagnosis and sourcing/deploying OD interventions.

• Proven track record of accurate diagnosis and results/impact for a large-sized company.
• Expertise in coaching and providing feedback across all levels of leadership, including executive level.
• Ability to anticipate future trends/consequences and create innovative strategies.
• Demonstrated initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively.
• Stay current on best practices in organization development, business trends, and best practices in technologies.
• Demonstrated adaptability and initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively.
• Demonstrated professional experience in Organization Development/Effectiveness or related Business Consulting (including partnering with the VP level).
• Strong proficiency in Organization Development theories, philosophies and methods.
• Proficiency in Change Management and Project/Program Management.
• Ability to negotiate and influence within a matrixed organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish assignments.
• Subtle, but effective change manager of senior leaders.
• Demonstrated bias towards action with a focus on getting things done and making things happen.
• Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and influence skills with clients and colleagues.
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to do further analysis when deeper insights can be achieved.
• Business acumen: large scale change management; excellent organizational savvy along with a consultative/partnership orientation with HR business partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and analyses simultaneously while being able to meet deadlines.
• Diversity of experience with large-scale program rollouts

Travel 25%
