Summary:
Health Leads is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial leader and change agent to join our HR team as the Director of People and Culture. The mission of the People and Culture team is to find talent, grow talent and keep talent with a focus on creating and promoting a culture of inclusion and diversity. This position demands a balance of operational excellence, innovation, drive and interpersonal savvy. The role will be responsible for developing and managing the strategy and operations for talent acquisition, employee relations, talent management, diversity, compensation, benefits and performance management along with providing HR business support, guidance and direction to functional leaders to achieve business goals and objectives of the organization. This position reports to the Principal, People and Culture and is based in Boston, MA.

The Director of People and Culture will join Health Leads at a thrilling moment in time, with US healthcare at a true inflection point, in which poor health outcomes, extraordinary costs, and rampant inequity can no longer be accepted. Recognizing this, health systems, community based organizations, philanthropy, insurers, policy-makers and other key stakeholders are working together to build resilient communities that meet their residents’ basic human needs. Health Leads’ leadership, expertise, tools and solutions to address basic needs in healthcare settings support these efforts to build health communities across the country.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of HR policies, programs and practices including talent acquisition, workforce planning, on-boarding, employee relations, talent management, diversity, compensation, training, benefits and performance management
  • Identifies, recommends and implements new and best-in-class HR policies, procedures or programs that meet the business needs and support company values.
  • Develop HR reporting and measurement tools to track HR performance
  • Lead a team of HR professionals in a highly complex environment that has a broad range of HR management needs
  • Direct HR workflow while coaching and mentoring the HR team to maximum performance and development
  • Provide advice and consultation on complex employee relations matters
  • Provide leadership on the implementation of key HR Programs that have significant impact on the organization, including: Succession Planning, Employee Engagement, Employee Survey and TalentManagement and Development
  • Partner with departments across the organization to deliver quality programs

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of experience in a senior or executive HR leadership role; senior HR leadership experience in a national non-profit organization preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of functional HR disciplines, including, but not limited to HRIS, legal compliance and budget management
  • Strong problem-solving, project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to and manage in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to engage, sustain and influence relationships at the executive level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
