SALARY: $131,767 - $161,900

We have a rare opportunity for an exceptional leader to become our Director, Performance, Strategy and Innovation Division, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer. The incumbent is primarily responsible for the development, execution and assessment of agency-wide strategies to promote effective leadership, innovation and creativity.

 

The Director advises management on strategic planning, performance measurement and process improvement to ensure that superior services are provided to the AOC Capitol Hill complex and to Members of Congress and their staffs.

 

 

Requirements

In this capacity, the incumbent:

  • Assists the leadership team with setting strategic goals and metrics, incorporating change management principles into an overall approach to create a foundation for stakeholder buy-in to organizational strategy.
  • Serves as recognized authority on cultural change, customer relationship management and performance excellence.
  • Designs and supports facilitation of working sessions to allow AOC leadership to determine long- and short-term goals;
  • Identifies critical work flows and processes that advances AOC goals and objectives.
  • Develop action plans and provide recommendations to facilitate operational decisions at all levels in the organization 
  • Performs supervisory functions, providing employee skill enrichment opportunities and manages the organizational unit’s budget and workload.

 

Candidates must have vast experience in strategic planning and process improvement for an agency or private sector organization. Must exhibit outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills to provide responsive and timely service to stakeholders. Must have thorough understanding of financial modeling concepts. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
