JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for providing daily supervision, training and/or coaching for recruiters, and assisting the leader of the Recruiting Department with leadership responsibilities as assigned. Responsible for utilizing best recruiting practices in order to attract, source and screen applicants for staffing of the business units within Conifer Health Solutions while providing excellent customer service to hiring managers and candidates. Responsible for partnering with Human Resource Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, or other team members to identify and implement innovative recruitment and staffing strategies, utilize creative sourcing techniques to include Internet, networking, job fairs, referrals and other creative sourcing methods. This role is key in driving departmental performance goals and leading departmental projects.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands business drivers and identifies required competencies for recruitment of top talent. Acts as project lead in defining and executing appropriate sourcing strategies defined by the business need, to include all internal and external resources available.
  • Oversees the process of presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing and administrative components involved in making a hire, including assuring references, drug screen and background checks are completed on all candidates who have accepted positions
  • Responsible for day to day work of recruiters including interviewing, coaching, and training of new and existing staff.
  • Develops and tracks an effective pipeline of candidates. Compiles employment related tracking, metrics reports and analysis of the results recommending improvements.
  • Acts as back-up support and leadership for peek workloads. Manage multiple site recruiting efforts. Assist management with annual workforce planning and forecasting.
  • Establishes, cultivates and maintains solid working relationships with hiring managers, external relationships and other internal recruiting partners
  • Responsible for recruiter development and for identifying and implementing training needed for building hiring leader capabilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

If direct report positions are listed below, the following responsibilities will be performed in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to train, coach and mentor recruiters
  • Demonstrated creativity and success in executing recruitment programs
  • Proficiency in marketing/sourcing techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in various employment laws and compliance issues
  • Strong problem solving and negotiating skills; reaches out and operates as a team player
  • Strong leadership, ability to influence and persuade - sales skills
  • Self-starter who can work with Hiring managers and Human Resource Business Partners in remote offices as well as independently without close supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Windows environment, specifically Excel and Word, is mandatory
  • Experience with Taleo or similar Applicant Tracking Systems required.

  • Commitment to providing excellent Customer Service to Hiring Managers and Applicants
  • Ability to multitask, excellent time-management skills

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • 4-year college degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of high volume recruiting experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare related organization with multi-site responsibility
  • 1 – 2 years in a recruiting leadership role with direct reports
