Who We Are Looking For:

This position will work primarily with the PEC Safety Product Development Team to design and develop innovative training for clients and field instructors. The Specialist should have experience in innovative and interactive instruction design as well as familiarity with adult learning strategies. This exciting, creative role will need a candidate who has strong communication skills as they are key in this role.

What You'll Do:

  • Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)
  •  Works collaboratively with the Product Development team and subject matter experts to assess and develop appropriate training solutions as determined by management
  • Candidate will be required to have a strong understanding of our products
  • Develop training programs using sound instructional design principles and in a variety of formats including classroom, virtual-webinar, self-paced, and e-learning.
  • Evaluate modes of delivery to ensure training is engaging, practical yet impactful, and cost effective
  • Research innovative design and delivery approaches to remain relevant
  • Supports and maintains the Learning Management System as needed
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate training on an ongoing basis
  • Create testing and evaluation processes for courses
  • Efficiently develop and deploy e-learning and blended learning deliverables and tools in multiple formats using Articulate Storyline
  • Possess a positive, can-do-attitude and is a self-starter that is able to proactively work with a self-directed team
  • Gather content and insight from various departments, subject-matter experts and stakeholders within the company
  • Provide editing/quality control for training material deliverables and communications
  • Video and audio editing is a plus

 

Requirements

Required experience and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree (four year college or university)
  • Master Degree in Education or training in Adult Education is a plus

Technical Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint 
  • Ability to learn Visio, Microsoft Project, and knowledge of online training methods and social networking such as LinkedIn
  • Articulate Storyline development knowledge is highly desired
  • Adobe Creative Suite (In Design) experience highly desired
