Position Summary

Administers affirmative action plans for Bank of the West from data collection to analysis using a third party vendor to assist in developing plan narratives, and AAP's ensuring compliance with OFCCP and equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements. Assists with the response to government agency inquiries, compliance reviews and audits, as well as, internal/external requests for EEO reporting.


Position Accountabilities

  1. Provides assistance and recommendations to ensure compliant applicant flow tracking, performs audits of applicant flow data and other AAP data.
  2. Prepares and analyzes data for preparation of AAP.
  3. Compiles and submits EEO-1 and Vets-100 reports annually.
  4. Conducts and maintains statistical analysis of work force to assist in evaluating EEO/AA progress; identifying areas of concern, achievements and non-compliance with established policies.
  5. Assists with formulating and compiling data for audits and compliance reviews. Researches data issues and changes.
  6. Prepares surveys for the US Dept of Labor
  7. Assists with the management of employment law postings, updates and audits company wide.
  8. Participates in trends analysis as related to EEO, Affirmative Action and Diversity, and participates in developing solutions to adverse conditions.
  9. Works with team to coordinate, design and monitor thorough implementation of EEO training.
  10. Collaborates with business partners to develop and execute effective diversity and “good faith” outreach efforts.
  11. Assists in the investigation and responses to complaints of alleged sexual harassment and Title VII discrimination complaints filed with state and federal agencies.
  12. Reviews and analyzes staff reductions for adverse impact.
  13. Assists in the development of the communication for the AAP plans.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education or Equivalent Experience

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience


Required Experience

    • 2 - 3 experience preparing affirmative action plans and conducting audits
    • 2 - 5 years experience working in HR
    • Strong HR information systems experience


Field of Experience

    • Analysis and data manipulation of large and complex data requirements.
    • Knowledge and understanding of legal requirements of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, and various civil rights acts.
    • Demonstrated competency in standard concepts, practices and procedures of affirmative action and compliance
