Join our world class team! Located in the scenic city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Erlanger Health System is seeking an eLearning Assistant to join our growing Organizational Development team. The Erlanger Health System is an academic, medical center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and serves as the region's only level 1 trauma center. Comprised of five hospitals around the Chattanooga area, including the Children's Hospital at Erlanger, we are part of the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network that includes 56 hospitals and 4000 participating physicians and clinicians. This position will report to the Director of Organizational Development, and will primarily be responsible for:

  • Performs administrative support for the LMS Specialist and the Learning Management System for all organization-wide training programs.
  • Administrative implementation of instructional materials for organization-wide training using the Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Assist in development of training material for the learning management system (LMS) that will meet all regulatory compliance needs, organizational training programs, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience: Job Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

  • Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Windows based PC system, a range of software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of online learning and web-based applications.
  • Knowledge of SCORM and AICC formats.
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Knowledge of transitioning instruction room face-to-face format to an online format. 
  • Skill in problem solving and decision making required for responding to LMS user issues.
  • Skill with e-learning platforms (e.g. Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, etc.).
  • Skill in visual design and programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator). 
  • Skill in SharePoint sites.
  • Skill in attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to provide clarification and feedback.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, with flexibility.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects that are complex in nature and broad in scope.
  • Ability to produce and maintain accurate records and systems.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance to end users. 

Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration

Certification in Instructional Design
