Help create and implement a variety of initiatives aimed at improving the overall employee experience and upholding HR-related compliance. Respond to employee violations of policy and generally helps to resolve conflict in the workplace.


Key Accountabilities

Employee Relations

Receive and effectively handle employee complaints, escalating these complaints appropriately when necessary.

Advise supervisors on treatment of staff and company policies

Advise employees of their rights and obligations in personnel matters

Conduct investigations related to disciplinary matters involving employees

Respond to complaints and provide advice and guidance regarding discipline, leaves, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA



Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures

Help develop materials aimed at increasing HR compliance in locations

Prepare periodic and/or ad hoc reports for management, as necessary or requested.

Perform research and data analysis as needed

Help investigate and implement HR processes, procedures, and systems.


Employee Engagement

Ability to partner with HR and Operations teams to help reinforce people-related cultural change and emphasize the importance of hiring, retaining, and cultivating Humble, Hungry, and Smart employees

In partnership with the Communications team, help develop and manage internal employee Company communication and feedback through such avenues as suggested programs, employee satisfaction surveys and newsletters

Responsible for developing a survey process and metrics that will enable HR to track employee engagement progress. During the survey cycle, partner with managers and senior executives to ensure effective communication and administration of the survey. You will serve as a subject matter expert on the survey results.

Identify and address issues and solutions related to employee engagement, in partnership with Operations teams 

Specific Requirements

Knowledge of employee evaluation systems and current trends in evaluation processes

Thorough knowledge of research, data analysis and report presentation techniques

In-depth knowledge of current Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to our industry/company

Able to establish and maintain effective relationships; ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects

Capable of maintaining the confidentiality of the employee and records

Able to analyze facts and present recommendations effectively in oral and written form

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written a sense of humor with a drive to lead culture change in a robust travel retail company.
