Job Details

The incumbent is responsible for functional, division-based support in various areas of Human Resources including recruitment and employment, employee relations, performance management, job evaluation, wage and salary administration, records administration, benefits administration, training and development, EEO/AAP, and special projects.  This position is a liaison with Corporate Human Resources and Payroll.

Requirements

  • Under supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs work that is complex and varied in nature requiring some evaluation, originality and/or ingenuity
  • Conduct division-based recruitment and employment activities, including but not limited to applicant recruitment, identification, evaluation, interview and referral
  • Administer employee training and development programs, including providing human resource orientation and training to all levels of employees as needed
  • Administer employee relations and performance management processes, including coaching, counseling, investigating, conferring, recommending, reporting and auditing as required
  • Implement and support division level, corporate-driven human resources processes including but not limited to wage and salary administration; benefits administration; EEO/AAP; substance abuse and drug testing
  • Counsel employees on career objectives, personal or work-related matters which may affect job performance or employment status
  • Act as a facilitator and liaison between management and employees on issues
  • Conduct research and analysis, working with multiple division-based and/or corporate departments to achieve problem resolution
  • Prepare and review various reports and filings with state and federal regulatory agencies
  • Interpret, apply, explain and enforce applicable human resource policies and procedures
  • Conduct work assignments in compliance with all corporate standard practices as well as contractual and legal requirements (e.g., contract terms, state and federal employment laws, Sarbanes Oxley requirements, etc.)
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

 

Minimum Qualifications

Generalist I
This position requires one to three years of relevant work experience plus a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities. Must possess a valid driver's license.  

 

Generalist II

This position requires three to five years of relevant work experience plus a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities. Must possess a valid driver's license.

 

Professional in Human Resource (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resource (SPHR) certification preferred.


Salary Details

Generalist I/Human Resources Salary Range: $51, 539 - $64, 424 
Generalist II/Human Resources Salary Range: $60, 432 - $75, 540
