Job Details

The Global Immigration & Mobility Specialist will work closely with the Global Immigration team, section management and attorneys on all aspects of case preparation, planning and client engagement on global immigration and mobility matters.

 

Responsibilities:


-Responsible for procedural and processing requirements of various types of visa applications and employment petitions with a focus on non-US visa processing.

-Delegate to and supervise other members of the Global Immigration team.

-Assist in the preparation and filing of business and employment-related global immigration documentation.

-Gather supporting documentation from company and employees.

-Work closely and communicate with senior executive-level clients and their staff from case initiation to completion.

-Liaise with foreign attorneys, vendors and support staff to manage case and obtain relevant updates.

-Work with corporate clients to improve their internal global mobility initiatives, strategies, programs and compliance.

-Maintain internal case management database and prepare spreadsheets for case status reporting.

-Participate in thought leadership and the drafting of client alerts and memoranda.

-Assist on Global Immigration related projects as assigned.

Requirements

-Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 plus years of experience in a global immigration position, or a global mobility position. JD or equivalent foreign degree accepted.

-Professional certifications, such as GMS/SGMS, preferred.

-Demonstrates professionalism, quality customer service and a ‘can do’ attitude toward internal and external stakeholders.

-Experience securing and overseeing the obtainment of temporary and permanent work visas in various countries, with deep procedural understanding in North America, Europe and Asia.

-Excellent written and oral communication skills.

-Understanding of international business transactions.

-Must be organized and detail oriented.

-Strong sense of accountability and takes ownership and responsibility for projects.

-Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast paced environment with competing demands and time sensitive matters.

-Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
