Role Mission & Description:

Agero is in the midst of transforming to a digital platform company. Successfully executing this transformation requires Agero to attract, develop and retain a deep bench of talent. The Head of Talent Management is responsible for developing an exceptional bench of talent at all levels to support Agero's digital platform strategy now and in the future, and for helping Agero retain great talent by delivering on Agero's commitment to help associates accelerate their careers and provide them with motivating developmental opportunities.

 

In order to do this, the Head of Talent Management will need to build strong relationships across the business, drive strategic thinking around the people and talent programs required to support a digital transformation, work with leadership to understand existing talent capabilities, assessing gaps and risks, then propose and execute strategic programs to accelerate associates' capabilities and careers.

Outcomes:

  • Develop a Talent Management strategy
  • Work with key leaders to understand the Agero business strategy and associate talent needs
  • Assess the existing talent base and programs
  • Develop and get alignment on a talent strategy to develop an exceptional bench for Agero now and in the future
  • Develop and deliver a world class performance management system
  • Assess the existing performance management process, timelines and supporting technology
  • Design and deliver against a more robust performance management program, that will likely include developing cascading goals, integrating 360 and real time feedback, a new PM and recognition platform
  • In support of performance management program, build robust leader and manager enablement program
  • Develop and deliver a world class learning and development program for the Agero Medford office
  • Partner with business leaders to assess the development needs of key segments and those at critical career inflection points, including managers and organizational leaders, relative to the needs of the business
  • Create and execute key developmental programs to deepen Agero's talent bench and increase its fit for strategic purpose
  • Build a robust talent architecture
  • Assess, develop, socialize and implement key underlying talent frameworks (i.e. rich level descriptions, competencies, career tracks, etc.) to support key decisions, more effective feedback and developmental conversations, and support career development
  • Build frameworks to support succession planning, career pathing and high performer programs
  • Work with the business to develop a rich understanding of future talent needs
  • Build programs and support structure to develop and accelerate the careers of high potential employees
  • Develop succession scenarios and associated top talent developmental paths to ensure Agero has the flexibility to adapt strategically and organizationally
  • Build TM as an enterprise capability
  • Build a small, world class TM team
  • Invest in and build relationships across all levels of the organization, earning the right to be a sought after advisor to the business

 

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 10-15 years of experience in HR and/or Talent Management
  • Prior experience with Learning and Organizational development
  • Demonstrated success in applying fresh, creative thinking and a growth mindset to long-standing, complex challenges/problems resulting in high impact outcomes.
  • High degree of business acumen and people acumen, and ability to influence business leaders at an executive level and within HR.
  • Experience designing, developing, and driving learning and development solutions aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing HR initiatives in a large, complex, matrixed, and global business environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and group presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical capability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses and trends, and translate into targeted investment opportunities to drive desired outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • BS/BA degree required, MBA or advanced degree in HR or a related field preferred.
