Central New York Services, Inc. (CNYS) is a private, not-for-profit Behavioral Health Organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance abuse. Through partnerships with other private and government agencies, CNYS offers professional counseling, residential services and day-to-day support to individuals and families in Onondaga, Oneida, and Madison counties. CNYS offers contracted support services for the Tioga County Department of Mental Hygiene and the Chenango County Department of Mental Health.


The HR Healthcare Recruiter will manage clinical and non-clinical recruitment across the Region. The HR Healthcare Recruiter is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success throughout the organization. This will be achieved by developing and executing cost effective traditional as well as creative sourcing, recruiting and retention strategies that enable Prospect to recruit and retain talented and highly motivated employees. The HR Healthcare Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent and are aligned with industry best practices.


Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for all phases of the recruiting and hiring cycle, including consulting with hiring manager to determine/conduct needs analysis, position requirements, and develop a recruiting strategy.
  • Responsible for full life cycle Clinical, Finance, HR and IT office resourcing and recruitment roles up to the Director level.
  • Ability to manage up to numerous concurrent reqs.
  • Conducts intake meetings with hiring manager to determine search scope, position requirements and development of a recruiting and sourcing strategy.
  • Conducts intake calls with Hiring Managers and Finance prior to commencement of recruiting to ensure that required approvals have been obtained and the compensation range is confirmed.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal communications skills and executive presence on calls and in presentations to hiring managers and leadership.
  • Intermediate level user of MyStaffingPro Paychex Software, or equivalent ATS and Excel and able to run all required recruiting reports.
  • Consistently uses required functionality in MyStaffingPro and dispositions candidates daily to ensure ATS reporting accuracy.
  • Able to learn new functionality and technology in MyStaffingPro and other tools including reporting, automated interview scheduling, video interviewing and social media related recruitment marketing.
  • Perform and manage the reference checking process.
  • Coordinate on-boarding compliance.
  • Coordinate and perform the company New Employee Orientation Program.
  • Design and execute various strategic recruitment events including attendance at job fairs, conferences, campus recruitment and other events as necessary.
  • Assist in compensation analysis.
  • Assist Human Resources Director as necessary.


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

 Minimum Preferred Experience:

  • Two (2) plus years successful high volume Recruiting experience, including strong sourcing and recruiting skills using the latest technology, or equivalent education/work experience within the Healthcare industry highly desirable.
  • Human resources based healthcare recruitment experience.
  • Two (2) years of previous ATS and ATS reporting desired; MyStaffingPro-Paychex ATS preferred.
  • Knowledge of appropriate State and Federal employment law and NYS regulations.
  • Valid NYS Drivers’ License with own transportation.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience with Paychex or other HRIS/ATS software.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks.
