CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our Human Resources team. We are seeking candidates interested in working in one of the following CHA office locations: Albany, NY, Indianapolis, IN, Norwell, MA, and Atlanta, GA The HRBP will provide HR partnership and leadership to the business units at CHA as well as developing an inspired workforce through the assessment, development, and retention of our staff. This position is both hands-on and strategic to provide human resources expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management, teambuilding, succession planning, recognition and more. This position reports directly into the Human Resources Group but works closely with and acts as an advisor and consultant to the Group Leadership

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees in addition to having a keen awareness to each business unit's strengths and weakness
  • Provide consultation to managers on employee-related and organizational matters, including but not limited to: employee relations, workforce planning, talent and performance management, and organizational development
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to assess people resource requirements and helps support the recruitment efforts and initiatives, when necessary
  • Lead employment strategic initiatives where the impact is significant with supporting the company's aspiration to have inspired employees
  • Manage the company's performance management program with the identification of best practices, implementation of the program, and providing support and guidance to managers and employees during each phase
  • Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts (e.g. coaching/counseling, employee recognition, etc.)
  • Work closely with management and employees with the overall goal to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Analyze trends and metrics in conjunction with other HR team members to proactively communicate and recommend and develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, when necessary
  • Manage at least (1) direct report and functions as a leader, mentor, and role model within the HR team


  • A bachelor's degree is required or equivalent professional experience
  • Professional certification is preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience is required in progressive HR roles
  • Industry specific experience is strongly preferred
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups
  • A high energy, passionate, results-oriented, team player, and resourceful leader who is capable of establishing himself/herself as a trusted advisor within the department and company
  • Collaborative and highly skillful at building and maintaining effective working relationships throughout the organization
  • Ability to lead critical conversations with staff, managers and leaders
  • Strong negotiation and change management skills
  • Strong business acumen
