Samaritan Healthcare is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing, dynamic internal HR team.

This position is responsible for providing direction and support to management staff. Provides information to all departments on State and Federal laws, recruiting and employment practices, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labor relations, health, safety and security and management practices. Uses advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills, active listening skills and empathy toward others, and demonstrated tact and understanding when dealing with others are also essential for success in this role.


The individual in this position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer.  This position works closely with all departments within the organization to provide support in all Human Resource functions.   

The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategy of Samaritan Healthcare, personifying service and operational excellence.  An intuitive understanding of Samaritan’s Team Accountability and Respect System (STARS) is expected, including the creation and maintenance of the best patient, employee, physician, and student experience.

The individual in this position will need to be able to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. This position requires confidentiality of personnel records, reports, and matters sensitive to the Human Resources Department.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (or equivalent) required. An advanced degree in Human Resources or Business and knowledge of health care is desirable. Four years of progressively-responsible human resources experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in Human Resources as a generalist involving employment/recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee relations, training and development, and organizational design/development. Professional certification is desirable. Computer skills:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Meditech. Communicates effectively with individuals of varying education and cultural backgrounds, excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.
