Jefferson Healthcare is a DNV accredited, fully integrated health care system, with numerous accreditations and awards.  We are the primary healthcare provider for more than 25,000 residents of East Jefferson County on the Olympic Peninsula.  Jefferson Healthcare employees over 600 employees and is the largest employer in Jefferson County.  We are a critical access, public hospital district providing services to residents of east Jefferson County. It is operated as a municipal corporation with five elected commissioners who oversee the district's operations. We recently received a 90% on our employee survey on "I would work here again."

Position Description

As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner ("HRBP") aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units throughout the Hospital. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. Successful HRBP will act as employee champion and change agent, developing programs, policies, tools and systems. HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the strategic objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the Hospital's culture, financial position, work flow and goals. The HRBP may oversee the Hospital Volunteer Program.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (6-8) years' HR experience with resolution of complex employee relation issues. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • PHR/SPHR strongly preferred
  • Experience with labor relations preferred
