Summary/Objective

The human resource coordinator facilitates all human resource processes at Star Asia.  This person will serve as the frontline contact for all employees for HR functions and will serve as a representative of upper management.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the planning and development of all employee appreciation efforts and events.
  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Responsible for bi-monthly newsletter preparation and dissemination.
  • New employee onboarding coordination with all managers.
  • Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
  • Process monthly billings from insurance providers. Review billings for accuracy, codes and advances for payment. Resolve discrepancies with carriers, payroll and the company. Complete reports for management as requested.
  • Act as a liaison with various insurance carriers and foster effective relationships with client representatives.
  • Assists managers with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Coordinates recruitment efforts and interview process. Tracks status of candidates and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by management.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using Linkedin for recruitment and general company promotion.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with ADP, MailChimp, JazzHR (or similar recruitment platforms) and other job posting platforms.
