Quality branded, an upscale multiunit restaurant group based out of New York City, is seeking a Human Resources Director to lead its HR department. This position is based out of the corporate office in midtown Manhattan, and is responsible for all HR initiatives for Quality Branded restaurants located in NYC, Miami, and Denver.

We are seeking a dynamic, accomplished HR professional to join the leadership team at Quality Branded. The ideal candidate must be a compliance whiz, create custom out of the box HR solutions, and be able to work quickly and efficiently in a busy restaurant environment. Candidates should have a strong generalist background and be interested in managing both transactional and strategic initiatives for the company.

Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for managing all people-related functions at Quality Branded. This role directly supports all employees in the company for all HR functions including executives as well as restaurant employees. This role involves strategic department planning as well as managing and executing all generalist responsibilities. This position is responsible for overseeing the company strategies for the complete employee life-cycle including recruiting, retention, leave management, coaching and development, discipline, termination, compensation and total rewards planning, and compliance.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • 5-10 progressive years of experience in the HR field.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification; SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Prior experience with labor relations is a plus.
  • Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality industries preferred but not required.
  • Essential functions include frequent sitting, typing; must be able to visit restaurant locations within New York City on a regular basis. Occasional travel required for out of state locations for new openings and/or regular check-ins. (<10%).
  • Must be fluent in English including writing, reading, and speaking and possess excellent communication skills. Some knowledge of Spanish is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.


Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Excellent organizational and analytic skills. Excellent change management and project management process knowledge required.
  • Computer proficient especially MS Word and MS Powerpoint. Must be skilled with MS Excel.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and be able to effectively lead a team
