About Us:

The Dominguez Firm, Inc. is a leading personal injury law firm in Southern California. The firm represents clients throughout all of Southern California who have been injured in all types of accidents, including workplace accidents under the California Workers' Compensation system. Our firm specializes in Plaintiff Personal Injury, Applicants Workers' Compensation, and Employment Law.

About the Position:

The chosen candidate will work directly with the HR Manager overseeing all human resources functions of a busy 100 employee law firm. Together with the HR Manager, the generalist will help manage all firm recruiting needs, on-boarding, benefits administration, performance reviews, training, payroll, personnel records, etc.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, motivated generalist who is highly flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Candidates must be adaptable and capable of working in a fast moving, ever-changing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of wage and hour laws.
  • Advanced knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties.
  • Experience in keeping, managing and auditing confidential files and information.
  • Previous Law Firm experience is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience with Paychex preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a HR- related field.
