Our headquarters in Austin Texas is seeking to hire an HR Generalist to support our rapid growth. We are looking for an energetic, organized, flexible, and proactive HR generalist to be a key team player working with the executive management team to build the company’s culture and help hire bright, enthusiastic employees and as such, must have good project management skills to think creatively, execute, and work collaboratively, while having fun. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are must. This position reports to the CFO


Employee Relations and Culture

  • Work with the management team in determining RF Code’s culture and implement changes that are both cost effective and results driven
  • Promote understanding of shared company values and culture through communication and employee team building activities
  • Lead the Employee Relations committee to identify activities that build community and teamwork within the company
  • Assist Marketing Manager with company’s social media efforts
  • Maintain, update and distribute Employee Handbook

Recruiting

  • Assist hiring managers with job descriptions and sourcing efforts
  • Maintain sourcing tools: update job postings and monitor social media feedback on company
  • Receive, evaluate, track and respond to candidates and resumes received and/or manage outside recruiting service providers (contract or agency) to do the same
  • Train employees on effective interview and candidate evaluation techniques
  • Manage candidate flow during on-site interview process, including interviewing candidates for culture fit; assist with hiring decision and prepare offer letters
  • Manage any H1B or Green Card processes

Performance Management

  • Design and implement an effective Employee Performance Plan and process that includes adequate and meaningful documentation
  • Handle employee performance management issues including Performance Improvement Plans, terminations (or RIFs) making sure compliance to all labor laws; prepare all required documentation
  • Ensure adequate and continuous employee and manager training, including management skills, sexual harassment and performance improvement

Benefits Administration

  • Evaluate benefit offerings and review proposals, determine cost sharing policy and lead Benefit enrollment meetings
  • Ensure timely enrollment and update of employee choices with insurers and payroll provider
  • Evaluate PTO policy effectiveness and make recommendation for change, if any including implementation of improved record keeping
  • Answer employee questions related to benefits
  • Assist CFO manage fiduciary responsibilities regarding the 401k Plan including documentation of investment policy and ongoing review of investment performance, annual 401k plan testing and reporting

Requirements

  • 3-5 years related work experience in the areas above
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • SHRM certification a plus
  • High energy; ability to handle multiple priorities; attention to details
