Job Details

Perform HR-related duties at the professional level, with responsibilities in the following functional areas:  employment, salaried payroll, employee relations, training and compliance.  The ability to travel to several plant sites is required.  Duties include:

  • develop, maintain, communicate HR policies, company handbooks, procedures
  • handle employee relations issues such as complaints or union grievances
  • manage employee benefit programs and personnel records
  • work with management to resolve issues such as unemployment claims, EEOC or NLRB charges, etc.
  • work with field operations to implement and monitor adherence to company policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions
  • analyze employee data and make recommendations to management
  • manage or process the salaried payroll
  • liaise with the external payroll service
  • oversee the maintenance of all confidential HR files and documents


  • BA in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • three to five years experience in HR management
  • proficiency in MS Office applications
  • strong knowledge of employment laws
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to use sound judgment in facilitating and addressing workplace issues
  • ability to apply discretion and be trusted with confidential materials and information
