Hyundai Mobis (Mobis Parts America) is a fast growing automotive organization, servicing Hyundai and KIA, looking for energetic team members who thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

We are now hiring an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team and assist in the below responsibilities (we are specifically looking for someone who will be a backup for payroll and assist with recruiting) Please note you may or may not be assisting with the below duties:

 

Employment, Recruiting and Retention

  • Recruiting – manage recruitment process from entry level through senior level management (internal and external) and experience in recruiting life cycle. Work with management and guide them through best actions to take, keeping in mind EEO laws.
  • Handle new hire orientation, resignations, exit interviews, I-9’s, background checks and drug screening.
  • Handle audits in relation to hiring practices from government agencies
  • HR Knowledge – EEO requirements, compliance with federal and state laws and responding to claims, complaints and hearing requirements.   

 

Benefits and LOA

  • Research, analyze and make recommendation regarding emerging benefit practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and regulatory standards & laws governing the benefit programs
  • Establish HR metrics and reports to monitor the company’s benefit programs
  • Reporting requirements, annual audits and inquiries from state, federal agencies.

 

Compensation

  • Salary recommendations (hires, transfer, promotions, demotions)
  • Annual external salary surveys
  • Maintain company salary grades, salary bands, job families and classifications

 

Employee Relations

  • Understand and administer multi-state laws relating to HR and employee practices
  • Handle all inquiries from state or federal government agencies (includes audits)
  • Keep ER policies up to date (multi-state)

 

Workers Compensation & Safety

  • Partner with management and insurance claims adjuster on the reporting, investigation, tracking and investigation of WC injuries.
  • OSHA audits and safety audits
  • Be proactive to look for ways to reduce injuries.
  • Ensure all appropriate laws followed (multi-state)

 

Training and Development

  • Training programs, such as Safety, IIPP and Emergency & Evacuation Plans.
  • Corporate training and guidelines for Sexual Harassment, Leadership Training, Meticulous Hiring, and Diversity.

 

Payroll and Reporting

  • Payroll processing and reporting.  Knowledgeable about multi-state and Federal Wage Laws.  Administer exempt and non-exempt payroll Prepare and process manual checks. 
  • Administer Payroll through ADP System or similar. 
  • Management of HRIS system, through ADP system.
  • Create and preparing monthly reports from payroll system and HRIS system
  • W-2, ACA generation and reporting
  • Inquiries/process court orders for wage garnishments and child support
  • Must be able to run custom reports, preferably in ADP

 

 

                                   

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in HR or equivalent; combination of work experience and education will be considered
  • HR Certification preferred

 

Overall Related Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in HR as Generalist or Specialist
  • Experience in recruiting and payroll highly desired
  • Administration of multi-state payroll (‘a must-have’) for exempt and non-exempt employees.
