We are currently looking for a Human Resources Supervisor to join our team in Manhattan, KS!

  • Employee Relations: Work with department managers and supervisors to proactively address employee relation issues using existing programs or by designing and implementing new programs.
  • Performance Management: Administer performance appraisal system for assigned employee groups. Counsel Managers in identifying performance issues and implementing solutions.
  • Compensation: Administer routine increases and advise management on all other increases. Identify and make recommendations for inequitable situations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance and utilization of progressive discipline and other Employee Handbook and Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual policies and procedures.
  • Recruiting: Manage recruiting process for assigned employee groups including developing strategies, sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking, hiring and onboarding.
  • Handle employment communications and reporting mandated by Department of Labor, Unemployment Compensation, New Hire Reporting Act agency, and Homeland Security.
  • Accurately maintain paper and electronic files (record keeping) for new hires, current and terminated employees.
  • Complete and manage special projects as necessary.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


  • 5 year’s experience working within an HR capacity with at least two of those years working at an exempt level.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, benefits, compensation and conflict resolution.
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to large groups and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization.
  • Must be deadline conscious and detail oriented with the ability to self direct priorities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office; previous HRIS experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically to various work sites as needed.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar discipline; PHR certification preferred.
