Human Resources Generalist

SeaTec is looking to expand our team with an energetic and capable Human Resources (HR) Generalist. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the areas of payroll, on-boarding, employee benefits, HR administration and recruiting. In addition, he/ she will demonstrate a high-level of integrity, sound judgement, a proactive approach and commitment to excellent customer service. He/ she must be able to work to the highest professional standards with minimal supervision.

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist will perform a high volume of work using established guidelines that are both deadline-driven and highly confidential. He/ she will have extensive contact with all levels of team members requiring discretion and the ability to successfully resolve issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Recruiting and On Boarding

o Create and post position descriptions, contact and follow up with candidates, recruiters and management as needed, process background checks and pre-employment drug tests

o Manage delivery and receipt of new hire paperwork

o Perform new-hire orientation/onboarding to ensure incoming employees understand benefits, company policies, and organizational expectations with a positive introduction to the Company

* Payroll and Benefits

o Process payroll and related withholding contributions (401k, FSA, etc) for W2 employees and 1099 consultants across two companies

o Perform detailed payroll reviews

o Prepare registration and establish payroll accounts for new states having employees

o Involvement in Affordable Care Act requirements

o Enroll employees in all applicable benefits plans

o Track team member personnel and payroll related changes throughout the year

o Reconcile benefits statements with enrollment forms and payroll deductions

o Troubleshoot and resolve employee issues that occur with payroll and benefits

o Research and respond to taxing authority notices

o Respond to correspondence with different benefits providers

* Personnel

o Create and maintain electronic personnel files for all team members

o Perform accurate and timely filing of benefit and personnel-related information

o Maintain accurate, detailed personnel roster, including but not limited to personal data, compensation, incentives, addition of new employees, termination data for inactive employees, etc

o Maintain accurate and updated HR information in all company and employee related systems

o Perform various audits to ensure HR information is accurate in all systems

* Legal and Compliance

o Assist with the completion of compliance related requirements as needed

* Other special projects/responsibilities as the need arises

Summary of Qualifications

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on sensitive materials and issues

* Demonstrated skills, experience and personal accomplishments in the areas of human resources

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

* Strong organizational skills with ability to manage own time and workload, juggling conflicting priorities

* Must be able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

* Must be able to build, establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external contacts

* Strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and teamwork imperative

* Familiar with various federal and state regulations pertaining to wage and hour laws, employment and benefits.

* Advanced computer skills with a high proficiency in Excel

* Experience in full life cycle recruiting is a plus

Education and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree

* 2-3 years of experience as an HR Assistant, HR Administrator or HR Specialist looking to take the next step in their career

Full Time Role in Peachtree Corners, GA

Base salary commensurate with experience
